Ethiopia Natural Sidamo Grade 4 is a naturally processed coffee from Ethiopia’s renowned Sidamo region, the birthplace of Arabica coffee. Grown at high altitudes with fertile soil and abundant rainfall, it reflects Ethiopia’s rich coffee heritage and exceptional growing conditions.

Sun-dried on raised beds for 8–10 days, this full-bodied coffee develops deep, complex flavors with notes of dried fruits, dark chocolate, and brown sugar. Vibrant and naturally sweet, it offers a smooth, lingering finish with subtle earthy depth—perfect for those seeking a fruity, chocolate-forward Ethiopian coffee experience.

Grades in Ethiopia

In Ethiopia, coffee grades are determined by visual inspection for defects and cup quality, ranging from Grade 1 to Grade 9. Grade 1 represents the highest quality, with Grades 1 and 2 classified as specialty coffee, while Grades 3 to 9 fall under commercial coffee.

Process – Natural

Ethiopia Coffee Grade 4 is naturally processed using the traditional dry method rooted in the coffee cultures of Ethiopia and Yemen. Ripe coffee cherries are sun-dried on raised beds for 8–10 days, carefully raked and turned to ensure even drying until they reach an optimal moisture level of 12% or less. Once dried, the fruit is removed to reveal the green coffee bean.

This time-honored process enhances vibrant fruity flavors while preserving centuries-old craftsmanship. Well suited to water-scarce regions, the natural process requires minimal resources, resulting in a sustainably produced Ethiopian coffee that delivers depth, character, and an authentic sense of origin.
